OnPoint Rescue is a volunteer rescue group based in St. Louis, Missouri. We primarily rescue English Pointers and German Shorthaired Pointers from shelters and find them permanent homes. We do not have a shelter and therefore depend upon foster homes to care for our dogs.

All of the dogs in our care are examined by a licensed vet, vaccinated, heartworm tested, de-wormed, and spayed/neutered prior to being adopted.  They are also treated for any known medical problems.   All adoptions require completion of an adoption application and a home visit prior to approval. The adoption fee is $225.00 for an adult dog and $275.00 for a puppy (up to 6 months of age), unless otherwise listed.  We do adopt dogs out to hunters, but the dog must first be a member of the family and is require to reside indoors.

Additionally, even if you are not in Missouri we do adopt out of state (we have adopted out dogs to AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, GA, FL, IA, IL, IN, KY, KS, MA, MO, MI, MN, NH, NJ, NY, OK, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WY and Canada) and we will provide assistance with ground transportation (we just ask that the adoptive family be willing to drive a portion of the transport).
